Madame Micebook loves a winter break to the magical city of Prague…but this time, she’ll be packing her hard hat as a slew of new properties are set to open in this striking destination.
First of all though, she’ll be rocking out at the O2 Universum, a major multi-functional space that opened at the end of the year next to the Czech O2 Arena, bringing numerous new event spaces to the city, the largest of which has a capacity of 4,500.
And new spaces will feature heavily in Madame’s trip, with a stay at the new Radisson Blu, formerly the Sheraton Prague Charles Square Hotel.
Set on Charles Square between the city’s Old and New Towns, the 160-room property is located within a historic Art Nouveau building and boasts eight meeting rooms for up to 150.
While near the Old Town, a peek at the newly refurbed The Maximilian Hotel is also on the agenda. The 71-roomed boutique bolthole has a number of quirky spaces including a library, glass-walled function room and courtyard garden. But it’s time to dust off the hard hat so Madame can take a peek at the Hyatt property coming soon – the Andaz Prague, a 175-room hotel expected to open in 2022, marking the hotel group’s Czech debut.
And there are more groups clamouring to open properties in the city – Hard Rock International has announced that it will add a Prague location to its portfolio, with a 523-room hotel set to open in 2023, dominated by a three-storey feature wall with a “soundwave of moving light.”
